My primary target audience is between the ages 13-19 as these are ages in which many changes happen and it is also the ages in which your education is most important. Our main protagonists (Henry and Adam) within our opening sequence are also within this age range which means that our target audience will be able to relate to our characters more as they will have experienced the different things that our characters in our opening sequence are going to experience. An example of this would be being late for school which causes them to rush, our two main characters are both going to experience this as Henry picks Adam up in his car ready to go to school. We also chose this target audience because this is our age range so we feel like we can relate to our target audience which means we will be able to make a much more effective opening sequence as we all feel like we know what the audience wants. It wouldn't be as possible to create an as effective opening sequence if we weren't within our target audience because we know what it is like to grow up and experience the different emotions that each teenager experiences. Our secondary target audience would be the parents of teenagers as they would have also experienced the different emotions and probably would have had to give different pieces of advice to their teenager. Moreover, this would also be our secondary target audience because if our film was shown on television either during the day or in the evening it is likely that they would be sat in the living room with them while watching. Even if they do not intend to pay attention, a lot of the time the secondary audience in some way does end up paying attention to the media product.
